5 Of The Best Places To Visit In Mallorca

As you may know, I have recently been to Mallorca, living my best life. And while I have already done an in depth travel diary-style post on it, I wanted to out together a nice and condensed list of the best places to visit on the island. After all, summer is right around the corner, and you might just start planning on where to spend your well deserved vacation this year. I could easy tell you that Mallorca is a hot contender, but I’ll let the list down below do the talking. So keep on reading if you want to know where to go!

The Olive Groves of Port de Sóller

Hike along the coast line

The small town of Port de Sóller is worth a visit already. Lots of lovely little shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as a – albeit small – beach. But even more beautiful than the town and port are the olive groves! There are lots of great hiking trails that lead you through various ones, some a bit more physically challenging than others. Make sure you check the route before heading off, as the terrain isn’t always the easiest to walk on (but not the hardest, either). Regardless of what trail you chose, you are going to see some of the most magical, whimsical looking olive trees all around. They really do look like a fairy or dwarf might pop their head out at any given moment. And if you stay closer to the coast, you are also going to see some pretty amazing rock formations!

Fornalutx

Best places in Mallorca: Fornalutx

Next on the list of the top five places in Mallorca is another small town located in the north of the island: Fornalutx. This one was recommend to me by a friend, who had gotten a recommendation from a friend. So I’m passing it on, because it really is worth a visit! And super close to Port de Sóller, and since you’re likely already going there, make sure you stop by this beautiful little town, too! It’s situated almost in a valley, surrounded by the infamous olive groves & fragrant citrus trees. All of the buildings just look so amazing, with plant pots everywhere. It really isn’t a big place, but so charismatic & the perfect stop for an afternoon coffee.

Cala Figuera

Best places in Mallorca: Cala Figuera

Hopping from the north of Mallorca to the south. This part of the island has a completely different feel, way less mountains, almost flat in comparison. But beautiful in its own way! One of the places I would highly recommend is Cala Figuera, especially the little “harbor”. Turquoise water, so clear it almost looks as if the boats are floating in the air. And just like in Fornalutx, the buildings in this small fisher town are super picturesque. Perfect for a little stroll around the village!

Parc natural de Mondragó

Best places in Mallorca: Parc natural de Mandragó

If you’re walking east from Cala Figuera, you’re going to find the Parc natural de Mondragó, a beautiful parc all along the southern coast. Since this part of the island is pretty flat it is fairly easy to hike, and you do get a lot of breathtaking views along the road. Some of the calas, like the one you’re seeing above, are a bit harder to get to. But that also means less people to compete for views with! And a little climbing challenge here and there never hurt no-one, right? Plus you can cool of with a dip in some crystal clear blue water!

Platja s’Amarador

Best places in Mallorca: Platja s'Amarador

Last but certainly not least on the list of the best places in Mallorca is Platja s’Amarador, which is also part of the Parc natural de Mondragó. I would imagine that this beach gets pretty busy in the summer, since it is absolutely beautiful. And the shallow water makes it a great spot for young and old alike. If it all gets too much, consider talking a walk through the beautiful national parc & see if you can find a spot that’s a bit more quiet. Or just join in the hustle and bustle!

I hope you found this list of the five best places in Mallorca helpful! Let me know your favorite spots on the island, I’m definitely planning on going back!

Lots of Love,

Lena
