Because we are moving house somewhat soon, I have put myself on a little bit of a shopping ban. I have enough things to pack as is. Devastating, I know, but that obviously doesn’t keep me from online-window-shopping. So today, I put together a wishlist of clothing items that I would have bought – but now, some of you have to live the dream for me. I you have read this post you already know that my Spring/Summer style is rather feminine: a lot of dresses, a lot of light & flowy materials. Light und neutral colors, except for floral patterns here and there. If that’s your jam, keep on reading!
What’s on my &otherstories wishlist
Chino Shorts
If you missed out on the Abercrombie & Fitch linen shorts I linked in this post, these cotton chino shorts would be a great alternative! To be honest, I don’t love the belt on them, but you can easy swap that out for a belt of your own. I would opt for a tan leather belt or a nice raffia one.
Oversized Linen Shirt
You can never go wrong with an oversized linen (or cotton) shirt like this one. They come in a million different colors & are perfect for spring and summer, since they are super light weight and breathable. So if you want to keep the sun from burning your skin but also don’t want to die of heat, these are a great option! And I think this shirt would look lovely with the chino shorts mentioned above.
Leather Sandals
I love tan leather in the spring & summer months, because it just goes with everything. Floral dresses, flowy culottes or shorts, I think these flats would make a great addition to any outfit. And the braided detail makes them look a lot more expensive than they actually are. If tan leather isn’t your thing, they also come in cream, as well as in black. Perfect for pretty much anyone!
Raffia Handbag
And last but not least on my &otherstories wishlist is this beautiful raffia handbag. Since again it’s a neutral color, it’s pretty much going to go with any outfit. Perfect for daytime outings, as it’s on the bigger side as far as crossbody handbags go – meaning it’s going to fit all of your essentials. Love it!
What’s on my H&M wishlist
Layered Tulle Skirt
This beautiful beigey-apricotey tulle skirt is right up my street! I already have a midi length skirt similar to this, but in a blush pink. So actually totally different, right? But honestly I think that if you wear something, or a certain style, a lot, it makes sense to get different “versions” of it. Because you already know you’re going to get the wear out of it.
Pieces like this are super easy to style in my opinion – just throw on a cute white tank top, some tan heels & accessories, et voilà, outfit complete!
Ribbed Tanktop
I already know I would love the next item from my H&M wishlist, because I already have it in the grey color. And you can never go wrong with sweet little white tanks like this one anyway! The perfect match for the tulle skirt, the chino shorts or layered underneath the linen shirt. I told you you couldn’t go wrong with this!
Silky Soft Dressing Gown
I love wearing dressing gowns in the mornings! The one I currently wear is super comfy & snuggly, however it’s slowly but surely getting too warm. This lovely satin dressing gown would be such a great alternative! The material is a lot thinner obviously, plus since it’s short your legs are out as well. For now it is staying on my wishlist, but I might have to pause my self imposed shopping ban for this one!
What’s on my River Island wishlist
Linen Mini Shirt Dress
This little number from River Island would be the perfect vacation dress! You can easily dress it up or down, it all depends on the accessories. I think this item is perfect to pop over your swimwear for breakfast or lunch at the beach, or just to keep the sun off your shoulders. And if you add a different belt to it, it easily turns into a nice & relaxed evening outfit.
Smart Linen Dress
Next on the wishlist is this slightly smarter linen mini dress – don’t be fooled though, it’s not as short as it looks on the picture. I would love to wear this strolling around some town on vacation, popping into cute shops, drinking coffee and enjoying cakes in the sunshine. Since it’s linen it’s likely going to be nice and breathable. Perfect for summer!
Minidress with puffed sleeves
And the very last item on my wishlist – although I could go on & on forever – is this gorgeous little white dress. This one is just as perfect for walking around town, shopping & sightseeing. And it’s got a lovely button detail down the back to make it a bit more interesting than your standard white dress. Style it with some tan accessories & you’re good to go!
So that’s what’s on my spring fashion wishlist right now! I appreciate there really isn’t any color whatsoever – but I told you I dress rather neutral.
One last thing I’d like to mention: creating wishlists like this one really helps to reduce impulse purchases. And that’s not only a great thing for your wallet, but also the environment. So before buying something, really think about ways to style it/if you would get the wear out of it.
Lots of Love,
Lena
