The Best In Beauty: Summer 2023

With the seasons changing, and us being well into summer by now, so do my beauty routines. I don’t know about you, but I much prefer lighter products on my skin during the summer months, rather than the rich ones I use during winter. And today, I have composed a blogpost dedicated to the best summer beauty products for 2023!

The Best in Beauty: Sunscreen & Hydration

Of course I had to start the best in summer beauty-post with a sunscreen! We take skin health and anti-aging very seriously around here. And while of course I apply a cream sunscreen (SPF 50) after my moisturizer every morning, it is important to re-apply it throughout the day. Sounds simple enough, but if you’re wearing make up, you don’t want to smear something over it and essentially ruin your face. Introduce the Garnier Over Make Up Sunscreen! It is a very fine mist that you just spray over your face – et voila, SPF applied! This one also works great for your hair parting, i.e. to protect your scalp from burning.

Best in Beauty: Uncorrupted Beauty Hyaluronic Acid Serum

The next most important thing after sunscreen in my summer beauty routine is keeping my skin hydrated. I have recently discovered Uncorrupted Beauty and their hyaluronic serum. This serum is super nice and light, sinks into the skin quickly but isn’t sticky. I love using this at night before my active (anti-aging) products, and I think it has helped my skin to better respond to the latter.

The Best in Beauty: Make Up

Next up we have the Douglas Skin Augmenting Foundation. I love this one because not only does it have SPF 50 and a moisturizing serum built into it, it also adapts to your skin tone! I have shade Light Medium and it works really well for me. Although it says CC Cream on it, it really is more like a foundation, with medium to full coverage. It does apply beautifully with a make up sponge, which is my preferred method. Highly recommend!

Erborian CC Water

If you want something lighter, the Erborian CC Water would be a great option. I apply this using just my fingers, so it is also a bit quicker than the CC cream mentioned above. This CC serum however does not have SPF built into it, so make sure you use some underneath! But it does also help hydrate the skin, which of course is great during the summer months.

This product is for you if you really just want a hint of color – the coverage is really light.

To set both of the CC serums I just mentioned, I love using the Charlotte Tilbury AirBrush Flawless Finish Powder, because looking sweaty isn’t my kind of vibe. I particularly love using this one because while it does get rid of the shine, the natural glow of your skin remains. And aren’t we all about looking glowy and radiant around here?

Best in Beauty: Zoeva Glow Get It Highlighter

Speaking of glowy and radiant: I recently added this Zoeva Glow Get It Highlighter in Bright Champagne to my make up routine and absolutely love the finish! I find highlighters can sometimes be either too in your face or look really chalky on the skin. This one does neither of those things; it applies beautifully with a brush and just adds to the natural glow.

As always: make sure to let me know your favorite beauty products for summer! What am I missing out on?

Lots of Love,

Lena
