My Winter Fashion Favorites + How to Achieve the perfect Tuck!

The day that I’m writing this is one of the first days of the season that are really cold, but blue skies and sunshine! Which is my (and probably everybody else’s) favorite way of winter day. And with December just around the corner, it is time I bring you my fashion favorites for winter 2023. Get ready to be warm and comfy, everyone!

Winter Fashion Favorites: Knitwear

Max Torso Cashmere Rollneck

Winter Fashion Favorites: Max Tons cashmere rollneck

Since I got this cashmere rollneck from Max Tonso I have pretty much been living in it! It is 100 % cashmere, so really nice and warm, buttery soft, but still super light weight. The perfect piece to layer underneath a thick wool coat or blazer. Plus, since it the material is on the thinner side (as far as knitwear goes), it can easily be tucked into trousers, skirts, etc. I am a millennial after all – and tucking in our tops is what we do. (Please tell me I’m not wrong!)

Unfortunately, the only place I could find this exact jumper is on bestsecret.com – a members only retailer. Fortunately for you though I am in fact a member with them, and would be happy to extend an invitation, should you be interested. Just hit me up on Instagram! (A couple more words on bestsecret before I get on: you can only become a member with them through invitation, but it is completely free of charge. They have a selection of the best brands ever, including high street as well as premium and designer brands. Definitely worth checking it out! I have saved SO MUCH money shopping on there!)

H&M Festive Jumper

From one super high end jumper to a way more affordable one: This amazing jumper from H&M is another piece I have been wearing non-stop since getting it. Even though it is almost completely made from polyester (it does contain 3 % wool, yay!), it is really nice and soft. And since it is a thicker material, it is also pretty warm.

What I love most about this jumper is the embroidery around the neck and arms. This to me is quintessentially hygge (read more on my thoughts about the hygge way of life here!) and exactly the way I want to dress and feel during the winter!

If you want to go all out festive, this jumper also comes in red and white. A great option to wear for Christmas day!

How To Achieve The Perfect Tuck

the secret to tucking in your jumper: a hidden elastic belt

So if you’re a millennial like me and basically can’t exist without tucking your shirt into your bottoms, here’s how to achieve the perfect tuck. Because it’s not as simple as it sounds! With some tops, especially longer or bulkier ones, it doesn’t look right if you just shove the material down your jeans. Or maybe you need to be able to move around more freely, raise your arms etc., without your shirt slipping out of your bottoms. So let me introduce you to what I like to call the magic belt.

This you just pop around your waist and the roll your top/jumper underneath it. Et voilà, the perfect tuck! It comes in a number of colors and is adjustable in size. And since it is elastic, it’s much more comfortable to wear all day than a regular belt. You’re welcome.

CRZ Yoga Leggings

My favorite thing to wear with jumpers – especially longer or oversized ones – is leggings. But then again, who doesn’t love wearing leggings? They are the perfect mix of being chic, yet warm and comfy. They tuck into boots perfectly. They hug you in nicely – what’s not to love?

Anyway, I’m sure you already have a pair of black leggings in your wardrobe. But just in case you don’t, or you’re in the market for a new pair, let me recommend these CRZ Yoga ones! They come in a number of different colors. So if you want to spice it up with some dark brown, maroon or forest green ones, they have got you covered.

What I particularly love about these is that pet hair doesn’t stick to them as easily, yet they are buttery soft. I have another pair of Nike leggings (for three times the price, might I add!), and while they are super comfortable, every little piece of fluff or hair sticks to them. And it is such a pain to get off! With two little fur babies at home, you can imagine the amount of lint rollers I go through… But not with these leggings! So if you have pets as well, definitely give these a try!

New Look Leather-Look Skirt

the perfect leather-look skirt from New Look

If I’m not wearing my jumper with leggings, I am most likely wearing it with tights and a skirt. What can I say, I like to snuggle up warm! Plus in my humble opinion, boots look best with a tight pair of bottoms – so leggings or tights it is.

Because I am also keen on not putting my buttocks out on display, I love pairing my tights with a skirt like this one. Depending on how thick and long my jumper is, I either tuck it into the skirt or leave it to cover it, so you can just about see a little bit of the skirt on the bottom.

Winter Fashion Favorites: Footwear

Tommy Hilfiger Leather Boots

My winter fashion favorites wouldn’t be complete without a good pair (or two) of boots! And these Hilfiger boots rank pretty high on my list of fashion pieces I’m loving this season!

I love a good equestrian look. And since these boots are brown, it’s a nice change from my usual black ones. And yes, I do mix blacks and browns. Not sure who ever made up the rule not to do so, but I am breaking it year after year. And quite successfully, if I do say so myself.

Marco Tozzi Fleece-Lined Boots

fleece-lined boots from marco Tozzi

Another great option are these Marco Tozzi boots. Not only are they super chic and wintery looking, but they are also fleece-lined and thus keep your feet exceptionally warm! I love the way you get a little bit of a knitted “sock” sticking out the top. I just think it looks (and feels) super cozy. And since it’s got a bit of an elevated heel, you get a little height boost as well!

Winter Fashion Favorites: Accessoires

Lawrence Grey Earrings

Last but not least we cannot forget about jewelry! Especially when you’re wrapping up warm in rollnecks and thick jumpers, I think a nice pair of (statement) earrings is a must! These ones from Lawrence Grey are one of my new favorites, because they just look so cute on your ear. And the pearls make it feel really nice and festive somehow! Can’t explain that magic, you just have to take my word for it…

Victoria Hyde Snake Necklace

On the rare occasion I don’t wear something with a high neck, this necklace is a new favorite of mine to wear! I love wearing it on its own, but I think it looks best layered with other necklaces. The more the merrier, right?

This particular piece is also going to transfer into all other seasons as well, since it’s not necessarily “christmassy” or a ver wintery piece. But since I have only gotten it recently and have been wearing it non-stop, it deserves a mention in this post!

So that’s it guys, my favorite winter fashion pieces! Let me know what you think and what your favorites are!

Lots of Love,

Lena
