November Favorites: Black Friday Fashion Finds, Winter Skincare & More!

Another month is in the books and we’re nearing the end of 2023 rapidly. Time to get into my November favorites! With Christmas right around the corner, you might find a thing or two to put in your wishlist this year – or give to someone you love!

November Favorites: Winter Skincare

Cosmetics Liquid Hydrator

November Favorites: No cosmetics 120h liquid hydrator

If you have been around this blog for a while, you know that I tend to struggle with my skin. (Or, if you have missed it, check out my skincare routines here and here!) Not only do I get an unfortunate amount of breakouts, but my skin is also pretty sensitive. And since I try a lot of products to help with the breakouts, it can get quite irritated. Add to that the dryness that naturally comes around this time of year et voilà, the perfect disaster. Maybe I am exaggerating at little bit. But my skin does get quite dry, especially on my cheeks and eyelids.

On my quest to solve this problem I came across the Nø cosmetics 120H liquid hydrator, in cooperation with Leon from xskincare. He is probably the one person I trust when it comes to the science behind all of the skincare. He does such a fantastic job explaining all kinds of products and their ingredients. And he has also taught me that the products you can get from the drugstore work just as well as higher price point ones – love that so much! Even though it was a little tough for me to accept…

This product leaves my skin feeling really nice and hydrated, which is exactly what I need. I apply it at night, after cleansing my face and before using any resurfacing products, such as retinol. By using something soothing/hydrating first, my skin agrees with active ingredients much better. So if you have sensitive skin like me, maybe give this a go!

Isana Glycerine Serum

Next in my November favorites is the Isana Glycerine Serum. Apparently glycerine is much better at looking moisture into your skin than hyaluronic acid is – again something I learned from Leon. He actually recommended this serum, and what can I say? My skin does feel great when using it! This one I out on in the mornings, again right after cleansing my face.

Here’s another tip: don’t dry your face off completely before putting on this serum. By leaving the skin a little damp the glycerine can really look that moisture in! Same applies if you are using a hyaluronic acid, but like I said, glycerine seems to do a better job!

And also I’ve got to give a massive shoutout to Isana! They have stepped up their skincare game so much over the past couple of years! Their product range has gotten insane, and their prices are so affordable. So definitely something I am going to look into further. Let me know your Isana skincare favorites, should you have some!

Uncorrupted Beauty Double Dose

November Favorites: Uncorrupted Beauty Double dose serum

The last beauty product in my November favorites is the Uncorrupted Beauty Double Dose serum with retinol. This time of year is perfect for active ingredients – like retinol – because the sun is less intense. What retinol does is chemically exfoliate your skin, leaving it looking fresh and radiant. Precisely what we all want, right? The downside to it is that by peeling off the top layer of the skin, it makes it also more sensitive to UV rays. So always, always, always wear SPF when using active ingredients! During the cooler months the sunshine is a lot less intense however, so using retinol is a lot safer.

This serum not only contains retinol to help you get that glow, it also contains bakuchiol as well as Q10. Bakuchiol helps calm down skin irritations, and Q10 helps promote cell renewal. I found this product really does help my skin look its best, both radiant and with less breakouts.

November Favorites: Fashion

Since November is the month of Black Friday, which – let’s be honest – has pretty much turned into a whole month of amazing sales, I have been doing quite a bit of shopping. The past years, I mainly but gym wear. But this year, I decided I have enough workout clothes and not enough “normal” stuff. So that is what I focused on: clothes to wear outside the house. And outside the gym, for that matter. And I was quite successful, if I do say so myself.

Festive H&M Pyjamas

Is it alright to put PJ’s into ones fashion favorites? Especially after just talking about buying stuff to wear outside the house? If not, I sincerely apologize. But these are too cute and festive to not share them with you! I hadn’t been a pajama type person for the longest time, until about three years ago. Up until that point I thought only old people wore them. Or those kinds of people that really had their stuff together. And I didn’t consider myself either.

I have, however, come to appreciate a good, matching PJ-Set. I now find it is actually the other way around: I feel like I’ve got my stuff together when wearing something like this to bed! Plus since they are 100% cotton, they are super snuggly and warm. Perfect for those cold November nights (or Christmas mornings)!

Cozy H&M Pyjamas

H&M Jumper

November Favorites: festive H&M Jumper

I have already mentioned this jumper in my last post, but couldn’t help to mention it in my November favorites again. I guess that just goes to show how much I have been loving it this month! It’s super warm and soft, and I think it is a nice change from my usual uni colored jumpers. And there’s not arguing about it: this is perfect to wear outside the house! Mission accomplished…

Lawrence Grey Hoops

Another big thing on my shopping agenda for this Black Friday was some new jewelry, earrings to be exact. Statement-y earrings like these ones from Lawrence Grey are such a simple way to spice up an otherwise boring outfit. And especially if you’re wearing a lot of jumpers and rollnecks – like I do – they add a lot of interest to the outfit.

These hoops are made from gold-plated Sterling silver, so they are going to last you forever. And since I always forget to take my jewelry off before working out or taking a shower, good quality materials are crucial for me!

Elli Layered Necklace

November Favorites: Layered necklace from Elli

Another piece of jewelry that has made it into my November favorites is this layered necklace from Elli. I love the look of multiple necklaces. What I hate though is when they get all twisted or tangled – thankfully that doesn’t really happen with this one! And I think the two different chains form a nice contrast, with one being rather dainty and feminine and the other being a little more “rustic”. Have not been taking it off since I got it!

November Favorites: Everything Else

I think I just have a couple of things to mention for the “everything else” category of my November favorites. So without further ado, let’s get into them!

  • My boyfriend and I celebrated 5 years together this month! It is so crazy how fast this half decade has passed… here’s to many more!
  • To celebrate our anniversary in style, we went to Hamburg, one of our favorite cities. And we had such a blast, competing at the Hyrox there! Our finish time was 1:20.43 – not bad for basically not training for it at all!
  • Last but not least we went to Jellyfish in Hamburg, where we had probably the best food in our entire lives. If you’re into fine dining, definitely check out this restaurant!
