Christmas Gift Guide for Her: From Budget-friendly to High End

The festive season is approaching fast, and as every year, lots of people find themselves wondering what to give each other. To help some of you out, I have come up a few ideas. Now obviously, I can’t speak for every single female out there. We’re all very different and might like very different things. So keep that in mind as you’re shopping for a loved one. I do hope however that you do get some inspiration as to what to give out of this. And now, let’s get into my Christmas gift guide for her!

Christmas Gift Guide for Her: Beauty

1. Uncorrupted Beauty Membership

Christmas gift guide for her: Uncorrupted beauty bits

I’ve talked about Uncorrupted Beauty a number of times on this blog (read here or here). And I’m also currently working on a post talking all about my tops & flops from this brand, so stay tuned for that if you’re interested!

What Uncorrupted Beauty is is a premium skincare retailer, that buy the exact same products as the high end beauty brands do, but then sell them on for a much cheaper price. So you’re getting high end quality skincare for a fraction of the price. You can either shop their side as a “guest”, or you can become a member. And by being a member you get additional discounts and early access to new releases/restocks. The membership is 49€/year – I think that’s probably the amount of money I saved on my first order. So definitely worth it if she is into skincare!

2. Elizabeth Arden Skincare Set

Christmas gift guide for her: Elizabeth Arden Gift Set

Speaking about high end skincare: this Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Set is another thing I personally would absolutely love to receive. It’s a little pricier, but by buying the set you’re actually saving money. And in my humble opinion, these products are absolutely worth their money! I have repurchased them so many times, because they are just that good!

What you get in this set are the advanced ceramide capsules, the matching day creme & eye creme, as well as the retinol capsules. So basically all you need for a radiant, glowing complexion! And especially the ceramide & the retinol capsules leave the skin feeling buttery soft. Highly recommend!

3. Omnilux LED Face Mask

This rather creepy looking device is the Omnilux LED face mask. They have a few different ones, depending on what she needs. The one I have chosen here is the one for clear skin, but there is also a “contouring” one which is helping with firming and de-puffing the skin.

The way this particular LED mask works is with two different wave lengths of light: red light and blue light. These wave lengths have actually been shown to reduce the amount of acne causing bacteria on the skin. So by killing the bacteria, you’re reducing the amount of breakouts you get. Pretty clever, eh?

Furthermore, these wave lengths reduce inflammation (redness) und irritation of the skin, and help to soften the appearance of acne scars. The procedure is completely pain free and there is no downtime.

Again, this product does come with a pretty hefty price tag. But to be fair, as far as LED masks go, it is on the more affordable side. Plus, depending on which model you choose, you get between 30 to 45 days of free trial. So if it ends up not working for her, she can simply return it.

4. Jo Malone Perfume

Christmas gift guide for her: Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir cologne, perfume

I know for a while it was really frowned upon to give somebody a perfume for Christmas. But I have never really understood why to be honest. I think on of the best compliments ever is a simple “you smell really nice”. And let’s face it – nobody simply smells really nice on their own.

So in this Christmas gift guide for her I would like to recommend a perfume brand: Jo Malone. I think their fragrances are unique. They actually have a lot of character, unlike a lot of other perfume brands. They aren’t simply super sweet or floral or oudy, there’s always a little hint of something else in there as well. One of my personal favorites is the Pomegranate Noir cologne. I bought this in London this summer and have been wearing it ever since. It is described as “Daring sensuality, encapsulated in scent. Ruby-rich juices of exotic pomegranate, spiked with pink pepper and laced with Casablanca lily. Warmed by temptingly-smoky guaiacwood and patchouli. Dark and enigmatic.” Doesn’t that sound perfect to give to your loved on this Christmas?

5. LED Nail Polish Set

And last in the beauty category of my Christmas gift guide for her is a LED nail polish set. I actually got one of these myself a couple of years ago and have not gone bare nailed since that! There are a few different sets, depending on the budget and what she needs. A good place to begin is the Basic Starter Set, which is also the one I use. It’s a pretty good price, as you geed the LED lamp, three shades of nail polish and all the tools you need. The only thing you don’t get is the nail polish remover, but you can simply pick up some acetone.

I love UV nail polishes because they last forever – I usually redo my nails every 3 weeks. And of course it is a lot cheaper to do it yourself rather than going to the salon. Plus, you can do it whenever you fancy. Most times I will do it on Sundays as those are the only days I’ve got enough time to do so. I’d be hard pressed to find a nail salon that would do it on a Sunday, though!

Christmas Gift Guide for Her: Fashion & Accessoires

1. Silk Pajamas

Christmas gift guide for her: Silk PJ's from Lilysilk

Is there anything more luxurious than going to sleep in silk PJ’s? I don’t think so. But still, it’s probably not something most people spend their money on… And I personally think that is what makes the best gifts: high quality, luxurious things that you wouldn’t buy for themselves.

If you want to go all out and gift her some really high quality, luxurious silk pajamas, Lilysilk is where to look at! They do have a rather high price point for nightwear – but it’s Christmas after all. They have a large variety of different colors, shapes and sizes. And if you’re really going all out, you can even get them monogrammed. I would die to get some monogrammed silk PJ’s. But that’s just me.

If you want to go a little more affordable, check out Intimissimi. I do own a couple of silk PJ’s from them myself and can attest to their quality. They are super soft & comfy, plus they wash very well. I have actually accidentally once washed a pair of silk PJ bottoms of their on a very high temperature (it was hidden in my towels), and they came out perfectly fine!

The silk PJ’s from Intimissimi also come in lots of different shapes, colors and sizes. And just like the Lilysilk ones, you can get them monogrammed. I just think that little detail adds such a lovely little touch!

2. Cashmere Socks

Christmas gift guide for her: Falke cashmere and wool socks

Much like the perfume I mentioned earlier, socks have got a bad reputation as far as Christmas gifts are concerned. But as Albus Dumbledore wisely said:

“One can never have enough socks. Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn’t get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books.”

I 100 % agree! I personally hate spending money on the necessities, like socks or underwear. So receiving some for Christmas (or any other occasion) is very much appreciated by me!

Especially so if it’s some nice and warm ones, like these Falke wool & cashmere blend socks! Not only can one never have enough socks, but one can never have enough warm ones! And to keep your feet nice and warm, but not smelly, natural materials like wool and cashmere are the way to go!

These socks once again come in all different colors. And you can get them monogrammed as well! Does it get any more boojee than monogrammed socks? I doubt it…

3. Cashmere & Wool Accessoires

Next in my Christmas gift guide for her are all of the cozy winter accessories! Complete with a cashmere scarf, cashmere bobble hat (this one’s got little Swarovski crystals sewn to it!) and mittens from alpaca wool. She’ll never be cold again!

1. Festive Candles

Christmas gift guide for her: Diptyque candle sapin

Another thing most people love but wouldn’t necessarily spend a lot of money on is scented candles. And to be fair, you can spend A LOT of money on those little suckers! For some very festive ones, I would recommend the Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit or the Diptyque Sapin candles. Especially Diptyque have gone all out with their festive designs this year, making the candle not only very enjoyable to smell, but also a rather decorative gift.

If you want something a lot more affordable, and also support a small business, this Duft & Fein Christmas candle is a good choice! It’s got notes of pine & fir, clove & orange, as well as caramel & woody notes.

And the best thing about it: the candles are made from sustainably sourced, plant-based wax. There has been a lot of information going around for a few years now how the ingredients of commercially produced candles really aren’t very good for your health (or the environment). And if you’re burning a lot of candles, as one tends to do during the Christmas period, paying special attention to the quality of the wax isn’t a bad idea.

If you’re not into Christmas scents, there is a variety of different ones on the Duft & Fein website. So be sure to check them out! I think it’s great to support someones small business while gift giving to your loved ones. The true definition of a win-win situation!

2. Luxurious Linens

And the last thing in my Christmas gift guide for her are some truly luxurious bed linens & pillow covers.

First off, I would highly recommend the linens from Linenbundle. Yes, they are pricey, but they also are of the most wonderful quality. They are made from 100 %, but woven so finely it actually feels like silk. And because of that it is perfectly temperature regulating, keeping you cool in the summer, but nice and warm in the winter.

If you want to give something a little more boujee for Christmas, the Lilysilk pillowcases are the way to go! Again, this is what I sleep on, and it just makes for the most luxurious sleep! Plus silk has been known to be very beneficial for skin and hair health, as it is really soft on both and has anti-bacterial properties.

There you have it guys, my 2023 Christmas gift guide for her! I hope this helped you come up with a few gift ideas for your loved ones, let me know if it did.

Lots of Love,

Lena
