I’m not one of those lucky people that has amazing hair – lashes included. And yes, I am very upset about it. So, I went out on a mission to do everything within my power to fix my hair problems! As far as I know, there is no magic serum that gives you thick, luscious hair, unfortunately. But I found an amazing – and affordable as well! – lash serum, that has pretty much transformed my lashes and has given me ALL of the confidence.
The Before – March 2024
As you can see, I am not exaggerating when I say I am not blessed with thick, long lashes. They are naturally pretty short and – according to my amazing lash tech Tasja – also rather fine. These are also my lashes without a lash lift, very, very straight and they would not hold a curl for the life of them, regardless of the mascara I used.
Here you can see my lashes after my darling Tasja has worked her magic to lift and dye them. Much better already, but now you can really see what Tasja meant when she said the hairs are quite fine. They also look rather sparse in some areas. I think we can agree: they look better once lifted, but there still is room for improvement.
The After – July 2024
So like I said, I went on the hunt to find a lash serum to give my lashes a little bit more substance. My lash tech had also previously recommended that I use an oil (almond or coconut, if I remember correctly) on my lashes, to help keep them hydrated. So I wanted a serum that provided both hydration and nutrition for my lashes. And – I found the one!
Although you might not be able to tell from the picture above, my lashes have improved dramatically after discovering this amazing lash serum! The picture above is pre lift + color, and since my lashes are pretty fair in color, it is hard to see. But I think you’re able to see the difference pretty well in this second picture, which is post lift and color. My lashes are so much longer, fuller and thicker! I actually stopped using the lash serum every night, because I felt like my lashes were getting too long – I could feel them near my brow bone. Absolutely unheard of for me. And another testament to how amazing this serum has worked for me is the fact that the first thing my lash tech Tasja said to me when I laid down on her bench was “wow, you’re lashes have gotten SO long!”. So now, I only use the lash serum every other night. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the result!
